Default Any In-sight on Mercruiser's New Drive?

Anyone have any knowledge of Merc's new drive that is suppose to bridge the gap between Bravo's and #6's.

The drive that bridges the gap between the Bravo and the SSM VI is already on the market...

I spoke to Fred at Konrad, their 540 seems to meet the void that the market has today, I would like to compare everything on the market before I make a decision on which drive to use.
