I wouldnt worry about wrenching on a pair of 575's. I think its safe to say that no one on this board has had problems with that merc motor.

I agree with Jazzman, but triples allows you to run a smaller hp more reliable motor and still get the speed. and alot easier on drives, and will gety on plane if an engine goes down.dont have to stress drives and motors so much. hard on trannies also. these are big heavy boats. they just require that setup.

Triple Engine Pro's:
-Can run stock, reliable engines
-Can plane on two in the event of a failure
-Looks cool!
CONS:
-Tend to break a lot of center drives
-Deeper draft
-Not as well balanced
-Harder/ more expensive to service
-Harder to finance and insure
Staggered Twin Pro's
-Easier to service
-Better balanced
-Higher resale
-Easier to financing/ insurance
If it was my money I'd go for staggered twins w/ #6 drives
