OK, maybe I should have used capital letter's or something to stress the irresponsibilty of the driver.

You're absolutely right. I don't want to be sharing the water with anyone this drunk.
In all fairness - D.R. said it is still rumor. Let's hope it's not true. Kind of gives all of us just another black eye.

When the attorneys, insurance companies and law enforcement finish with him he will wish he had passed out and hit the floor prior to casting off.

Would depend on your tolerance level. But that is freakin wasted to most anyone.

Word is that there were 3 people in the boat, one was ejected (the one most seriously hurt). All are expected to make it. The boat belongs to the owner of one of the local Ford dealerships.

I don't know exactly where they were, but the whole area around Metro Beach, especially to the south (Jacks Waterfront Bar is south of Metro Beach) is shallow - not a place I'd want to run during the day, let alone at night. Of course, it's easy to get disoriented at night - not a lot of lights in the park.

For reference (not the greatest, but to give you an idea), here's a chart. Jacks' is around #12, Metro Beach is #9. The other chart is a zoom of the south side of Metro Beach - not much there.

And just to reiterate, the .25 is a rumor I heard on a site dedicated to the local boating scene, not confirmed. But the Sheriff specifically stated in all the reports that I've heard, "Alcohol appears to have been a factor." I'm sure it will all come out in the wash.
