Had meeting with Nathan and Rome of Frankie and Louis and we all decided it would be best to combine our OSO fun run with the Midwest boat party and The Frankie and Louis Poker run which is all for Charity of the area fire districts. We all know how important firefighters are to us citizens, we need to promote and sponsor and show our appreciation for their service. Anyone wanting to do the poker run should contact Frankie and Louis, Budweiser is also sponsoring and matching dollar for dollar for the charity, We believe we will exceed 150 boats in total. The poker runners will meet up with all of us at mouth of Backwater jacks at 11:00 am on Friday. Buffet will be 8$ pay at Big Dicks, We also discussed that we are recommending everyone wear life jackets, and practice safe boating. This is not a race, and we dont need an accident. If you want to race enter the shootout. This will be the largest poker run ever at loto and videod by helicopters. Most every major boating publication and manufacturer will be represented at this years event. There is going to be a whos who of race boats at this years events, turbines, turbos, some hp up to 4,000 total, should see a record speed run between about 4-5 boats. will be a 220-230mph pass I believe. So come join us and have a great day before the races start. Have'nt had any problems since early season. Have driven by several water patrol even idling thru party cove in the Nortech cat at 108dcbs. have'nt pulled me over. shootout weekend they wont mess with you unless you do something stupid driving.

What if we just wanted to run up to Big Dicks like we orginally were doing, and not hit all the poker run stops????

OSO members are welcome to enter poker run, most of us will meet as we always do at mouth of backwaters cove.We are basically all going to big dicks , but the poker run guys have to make the usual stops and have a dinner and awards party at Frankie and Louis later that evening. Everyone can do whichever they want depending on schedules.
