Lake Boca - THIS SUNDAY 12-5
 

As some of you know, I am forming a relationship with Sundance Marine (Ft. Lauderdale based) to bring Fountain Sportboats to the South Florida area. Sundance is currently a Fountain dealer, but really only specializes in the fish boats and cruisers.

By October we will have many performance models in stock in Pompano and Ft. Lauderdale. I will be spending the majority of my time in Ft. Lauderdale. Though there have been some attempts to develop a Fountain presence in South Florida, it has never really been done right (in recent history).

Sundance is having a big "raft-up" party this weekend at Lake Boca. Lot's of food, music and fun. I have room for a few more boats (Fountains would be nice!!!) if 3 or 4 of you are interested. It's really about having a performance boat presence for Sundance. I am bringing a new '06 35 Lightning and OSO Steve and some othe rfriends are bringing Cig's. (oh, and some fine deck jewelry will be tagging along :))

I'm sure it will be a blast. Anyone interested??

Sounds great. I live about 5 miles north (Boca Bay Colony) and anchor in Lake Boca all the time. I'll be out in my 24' banana boat (24 Cigarette) on Sunday...hope to see you all out there.

Yeah, Everglades Marina was really the last one that did some/any type of volume with Fountains down there. Good luck with re-establishing the presence.

Sounds Like Fun, No performance boat, the Pantera is still in pieces, but getting put back together sllllloooooooowwwwwwwwllllly, may run thru with the Waverunner though, I'll Give Cashbar a call if I am going to make it, is your # still the same Greg??

Hey Bill, Nice Pleasure Boat, You passed me when you were heading north around Sothern Blvd. Sunday, I was on a blue 2003 waverunner.

Yeah Rick, number will always be the same. If I add a Florida # I will always keep the Ga. one as well.

All depends if the man in the brown truck brings boat parts today :rolleyes:

This working 3rd shift 6 days a week sucks, leaves little time for wrenching on the boat, and enjoying the Summer, but gotta pay the bills :drink:

If my Jackplate doesnt show up(again :eek: ), I am in. I have the transom all painted, the center section all ready, and a worked powerhead sitting on the bench, all's I need is a darn Jackplate(and about 200 more hours of rigging)

Well,

I am not going to make it this time.................

The Jackplate didnt show, but I still have a chitload of glasswork to do, I cut the coring for the cockpit liner today, and will glass it up tomorrow.

The crazy side of me says.............

"grab the waverunner, and go hang out with these nutjobs at the lake"

The serious side of me says.............

"Stay home and work on the boat fool, otherwise you'll be looking like a retard riding around on that waverunner for another freaking year!!!

looks like I'll have my boat drinks in the yard, sniffing the resin, getting glass stuck all over me making vroom-vroom noises :D :D

You had some good weather at least.

I had a very productive day in the yard.
