Anyone own a 28 Cat on this forum? What year, motor, drive and speeds are you running? How has the quality of the boat been and the service with Randy? Any info would be appreciated.

i have a real close friend that has one. 2003 28' with a 525 and xr drive. i want say the boat runs around 90 or so in the right conditions. pm me and i'll put you it touch with him.....

Yeah I know him. Ran a couple of poker runs with him, and we also ran to Lake Charles, LA for Contraband Days this past April.

Man sorry for taking so long to get back with you I just got back from the Emerald Coast Poker Run in Destin and have been pretty busy for the last few days catching up. Yes I have a 2003 profile cat have owned it for a little over a year and have had very good luck with the boat as well as Randy and Debbie. Yes they still own profile as a matter of fact I just talked to Randy today. I am in the process of trying to go faster. My wife told me today that I could buy a whipple with my winings from the poker run last weekend(yea I won one of the largest poker runs in north america last weekend, how cool is that?) I am through gloating now. Anyway Whipple will not have anything available till October so I called Randy and he is supposed to get back with me tomorrow, he thinks he can get his hands on one. The only bad thing about the 525HP is that it is pretty hard to upgrade horsepower at this time.

The 28 profile cat is a nice looking boat. I've been up close to a few before, but never ridden in one. They look very shallow (freeboard) and over all much smaller compared to my 28 TD Daytona, which requires twins.

My partner Bill Robb was the oringinal designer/ builder of the 28' when it was still being built under the name Redline marine in michigan.
Very good working hull I have the blue prints for the 38' in my office, The 28' with a pair of 280 O.S. would lay the LAW down on a 28' Skater!!!!!

I had a friend that passed away, but the family still has it. It is for sale if you're looking for one. Single engine, I think with twin turbos on it. Will get all the details if you're interested. Let me know.

My brother in law had one. I believe it was a 2001 with a 500 HP. He bought it from Big Thunder Marine. I believe it went about 82 before he had to put exhaust inserts in the pipes due to noise at LOTO.

He liked it the only thing I noticed was when there were a couple of passengers in the backseat it would wash out coming up on plane.

Hi i am luke haas and i actually bought bills cat. it was completely ruined from sitting outside for 8 years but after a year of having it the 572 runs great and im super excited to get back in the water for the summer. i know this forum is really old but i thought john would appreciate knowing that someone bought bills boat.
