Saturday, January 28th, 2006
7PM till 11PM?
(Weather not-withstanding. If it snows, find a 4x4.)

Cost:
Cover charge to get in the party will be $35.00/person; paid at the door.
(Yeah, the price went up—read below. We have a BAND this year; it’s worth the increase.) This will cover the band, facility, servers, event costs, door prize tickets and buffet style appetizers.

Remember, I am not doing this for a profit.
100% of the money collected goes into the party and then some!

Dinners and cash bar will be your own responsibility.
(If I tried to include this; it would get too expensive and un-proportionate).

Parking & Logistics:
I have arranged for a shuttle that will be running between the Omni Hotel and The Canal Club during the 6 o’clock hour and the 11 o’clock hour. There is parking at The Canal Club as well. You are welcome to take advantage of the valet parking at the Omni Hotel, (beware, it’s not a tall garage) and not have to worry about driving between the venues. The Omni Hotel is also walking distance to at least 4 bars/restaurants/clubs for continued late night entertainment.

As like last year, drinks and any individually ordered food items will be on your own tabs. As eloquently stated above by OSO/CBPBA member Bill Love… This is “A big azz party for go-fast boaters to break up the winter blues.” Break out your Boating Apparel in the middle of winter and talk horsepower and swimsuits. For some of you, this will be a haul, but this will be ABSOLUTELY worth the effort.

NEW THIS YEAR:
We are moving the party to accommodate ‘the band.’
www.theworxband.com will be playing our event exclusively for the evening. Many of you may have seen/met The Worx Band at Smith Mountain Lake; Lake Anna, Gilligan’s Pier, and the Richmond Power Boat Association Poker Run. They are far and away one of the best cover bands you have seen, and they really do make the party. You do NOT have to worry about the quality of the entertainment. I know the band personally, and I would not have them if they were not going to rock the place.
As you can imagine, having the band does cost money; hence in the increase in the cover charge from last year. Also, realize the party is now extended until at LEAST 11PM, and may continue later. This is quite the difference from last year breaking down at 9PM.

We will not be doing a Poker Crawl this year.

JUST LIKE LAST YEAR; BUT DIFFERENT:

I will personally cover the Winter Chill-Out Entry Fee for you AND a guest for the three farthest traveling OSO members. The distance traveled will be verified via driving mileage as calculated by http://maps.yahoo.com/dd website from your home address to the address of The Canal Club listed above. If you fly; that’s fine too. Richmond International Airport is only 20 minutes away.

Here is what I need from EVERYONE to RSVP:

I need your RSVP via email to [email protected] with the number you have attending. I will only accept RSVPs via this email address, as I cannot keep track of several bulletin boards.

Book your hotel by calling the hotel directly.
The hotel has an indoor heated swimming pool, so bring your swimsuits.
