Alarm=engine Cutting Out!!!

I just had this start happening. My alarm will go off and at the same time my motor will cut out 4,000rpms drop to like 3,000 then jump back up....... I checked everything I could but need to know what sensors trip the alarm and will cut the ignition? I know it is not the drive res. because I unplugged them and it still did it. Thanks

Mine did the same thing. had a broken water pump impeller giving inadequate flow resulting in a overheat situation.

Did your gauge show a hot condition because my gauges all read normal. I just have to track down which alarm sensor is bad and cause it to cut the igniton for a split second.

Your alarm will sound under the following conditions.

1 Low oil pressure

2 Engine overheating

3 Low drive resovoir

Try the ignition switch. I had a similar issue and the switch was bad. If you wiggle the key while running, the engine would do the same. Just another idea.
