Put this up a few weeks ago but just getting to posting pics. Several members have shown off theirs which convinced me order my own. Right behind the house in the field with electricity on a pole right beside the "tent".

14 wide 42ft long 15 ft tall. Plastic is down to keep any moisture from being pulled up through the ground. These things get like saunas in the summer otherwise.

Actually I have .4 of an acre in a typical neighborhood. There is a huge field and 1/2 mile of woods behind my property that belongs to someone else. They let me put the "tent" up on the edge of their property. My neighborhood doesn't allow these things here so 10 ft past my property line is OK (by me anyway!) You can see the small ditch that is the end of my yard and the begining of the field in pic 1.

Don't know if I will make it up there before Thanksgiving....But you'll know if I'm coming!!!

That looks like it fits perfect. Nice of the nieghbors to let you put it out there too. BTW, how high are the doors(openings)? I'm building a garage with 10' ceilings and about an 8 1/2' door. 45 x 16. My plan is to put a Gladiator in there someday.

Doors will roll up to a 12 x 12 opening. Almost bought the 46 ft long version but stayed with the 42....

How tall do you think your boat is?

Guessing between 8-9 ft but never measured because the doors were 12 ft and it was a given that the boat would fit.

That's my biggest worry that I'll build this thing and the next boat won't fit in it anyways. I'll have to post a thread and see if someone can give me the height of a Gladiator or Top Gun on a trailer.

w ww.cover-it.co m seems to have become http://shelterlogic.com/index.php

I had one that I bought used, and kept in same place, (boat storage yard). I sold it to another OSO member, who then sold it to another boat owner. Its still standing. Its been through LOTS of snow, a hurricane, backed into by an RV, and a few other glitches, but is still doing well last I checked.

I recommend the round top shelter for snow shedding capability over the house top, but they are all good.

4/10's actually (not that a 1/4 is much different). Really nice people, their kids are the same ages as mine and they all play in the field/woods. They have 5-6 acres of grass so I get on the tractor occasionally to help keep it cut.

I too think the round top is best for reducing stress of the "canvas" at the top but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on this one. I found you can get varying degrees of quality (like everything else) went with the galvanized 2.38 pipes instead of 1.90 powder coated. Thicker "canvas" material and the door/vent/anchor kits were part of the package. (alot of place list those as extras).

Here's a link to the unit I bought. Tom is the guy you need to talk to. (found them on Ebay, but bought it through them direct) Tehy even let me arrange my own shipping at a savings to me of $130.00.

$1,800 plus freight/options (I added the vent kits for $40.00) After driving 22 anchors 3 ft into the ground I hope I never have to move it, but it's possible if needed. Ended up putting the whole thing up by myself. Took about 24 hours that way. 3 people could do it on a L-O-N-G saturday or easily in a weekend.

I would prefer this too but remember, I put this up on SOMEONE ELSE'S land. My next setup (next house) will have something like yours.
