Well Stan, we aren't so fortunate. We're riding it out at the Tickfaw and we're on generator and have been for about 2 hours. We are staying close to keep an eye on King's Point condos and the marina. If there's a bright side to any of this it's the fact that since I work for Entergy, I'll be making plenty of overtime to help with the down payment on the new Cigarette! Just spoke with Bob Burlingham up in Panama City Beach and he said it was blowing pretty good up there with power cutting in and out. He has beer and was heading down to Dusty's later on for the hurricane party. :drink: They are expecting a 20' + surge. Dave

Just got off the phone with my sister who bailed out of NO right into the eye in MS. They were getting ready for the eye and things are pretty bad but she is in a hardened shelter. Open and Jass best of luck. Call if you need anything I might be haeded down from DC Wednesday pulling a trailer of whatever is needed.

We lost power about 12 today. I just got the generator running.cant believe the cable is still working.We haven't even got the worse yet. the tress are blowing pretty bad . Every thing closed here about 12 .On the way home from work there were trees already down ,


I talked to open72 about noon he went to TX he's ok..I believe his house is going to have some damage .

I have been trying to call Racerx6 all morn.they where going to ride it out in Picayune . I believe they got hit hard . it descent look good for them :( .

They said the coast here had about a 25 foot storm surge and the beau ravige casino had water in the secong story . They saying the surge is worse than Camile.

I haven't heard from Jassby There house is in diamond head where the eye passed by . We are thinking that area is real bad. Below him . On the Jordan river ,bay saint Louis same area as Jassby got it even worse.

I wish I had got more gas for the generator :(

The French Quarter got some damage , but little flooding. Maybe the apartment is still in one piece. (Only damned thing I have that isn't insured. :mad: ) Most of the structural damage I have seen was on corners and exposed areas.

With a little luck, Open72, RacerX-6, Jassman, and the rest fared as well. :cool:

Hope you guys made it through with minimal damage down there. Luckily the storm detensified from yesterday.
