If I lived on the water, and didn't need to worry about having a cabin, I'd be all over it...

E-bay created a great deal of activity (calls, emails, etc). I have strong interest from a few and appointments scheduled this weekend...but at this point the boat is still available.

I am a bit puzzled...the boat was towed around the country and was not rigged BUT had a frigg'n Kevlar hull?...and then they rigged it with 496 HO's instead of HP 525's??

I did not know Formula did Kevlar hulls to begin with on that model....maybe a custom job costing a kings randsome..

...used it 4 months and want to sell it???

Yea it is a good deal...but what were they thinking?

I saw that boat when we were at Red Eyes 5-6 weeks ago. I assumed it had big power because of the cockpit layout. I love the 382, but I need one with a full cabin. (C Spray's w/ Volvos would suit me just fine!!!)

Ditto, but I still have mine! I think the guy I bought it from wants to buy it back when I go bigger (but his wife won't let him :D )

A friend bought mine last year when I bought the Formula. He didn't give me a chance to even get it listed. I told him the deal had to included me getting first rights to it if he ever sells it.

Formula made just over a dozen of the F2 382 Kevlar boats. They were an extremely expensive layup, but proved to be successful in winning the World and National championships. This one was originally rigged with 500s, but never put in the water. After the promotional tour, the engines/drives came out (don't know the story) and the boat was available without power or a trailer (Formula kept the trailer). For a brief moment it looked like F2 was going 496HO in 2005, so the dealer suggested this package. I never planned to race the boat and went ahead with the 496HO/XZ package. The result was outstanding and affordable for pleasure use (80+MPH on black Mercury power). With the former 470hp package the same boat will run 84+MPH and with 525s (or Whipples on the 496HOs) it will run 94+MPH. My only problem is that I didn't have time to use the boat (30 hours in four months) due to my business travel schedule... reluctantly I put it up for sale and it went quickly.
