Cool boat! I'll look for it on the bay.

What part of the bay do you run?

I am based out of Harness CReek on the South river. We cruise to Rhoades River, Severn & Magothy River, Kent Island, St. Michaels, and Tilghman Island. :cool-smiley-011:

Hydra

Sharkey,

Do you have more info on the Hydra 27? Appears to be a lot like the Progression 27. Would love to get any info you have.

Thanks

Hey gang, brand new here. Bought a 1992 Python 24x7, blast to use on Lake Lanier (When there is water in it). Has a built 502, run well into the 80's. Not a lot of fun on the top end, though - VERY loose...

Also, how do I get to see the pics? I keep getting a message from the admin when I try to open them...

I have really enjoyed my Python. Great boats for the money.

I had a new 24 Python built in 92 also. Carbed 502 in it and it would run high 70s but a handful if you had more than a foot of chop. I only kept it one summer and moved up. Only one of all the boats i've owned that i made money on when I sold it.

To see the pics. on here you have to join. You got to pay to play. :D

Welcome to the site. I had a 92 python with a 502 as well. Good boat. I thought it ran better in a 1-3ft chop rather than on smooth water. It was a handful - a drivers boat if you will:D It takes some getting used to.

This is an interesting class of boats. All are different iwith many deck layouts but all mostly share the same hull variation. I have a 1986 BRT 24 manufactured in New Bedford, MA. The boat was originally a sit down I/O with a 350 magnum. Years of project upgrades, 3man bolster, paint, new dash design all performed by MDG Perfmanace Marine has made this baby a rocketship! 600HP MDG Natuarly Aspirated, Hardin Tubes, Bravo-Imco 2" drive., Hydromotive 26' 4blade. 86 MPH

I've only seen 2 other BRT's since I bought mine. I'm on my third major upgrade since owning it.
1st uprade- New engine hatch, new dash, engine rebuild, paint, fairing, new rear bulkhead, stringers & floor, new standup bolsters.
2nd upgrade- new hatch, new dash, added passenger dash, new transom, TRS to bravo XR, new paint, new guages, wiring, plumbing, 3 new bucket seats.
Current- Moved rear bulkhead back to get a small bench seat in, moved forward bulkhead forward, new dash, center console with 2 bucket seats, new hatch, paint.
Hopefully someday I'll be happy with it!

Well I don't know about all the other boats mentioned here, and I'm sure they're awesome, but there was a reason that APBA moved the Batboats into their own class(one Design); they beat up on all the much bigger boats in the old A class they ran with. That pretty much says it all for me.
