Kick ass photo imagery from LA and MS Hurricane damage

you need to know the area as the photos are not north up oriented but for those that do these are the best pictures I have seen. Looks like my grandmothers house in Metairie made it but my Mom's house in NO has mutiple feet of water in it :(

I just looked through about a hundred of those photos and now have a new understanding of the complete destruction Katrina has caused. The pictures of Gulfport are unbelieveable. I have a hard time believing that area could ever be the same after this. Some of those photos show hundreds of foundations where homes used to be and mountains of debris. It will take years to clean up that mess.

You really need to know the city as the photos are not aligned north up. I have trouble and I am from there and all my family lives there. Use maps.google.com and compare the area of the pic to the picture. i am using I-10/I-610 as my reference points. I can see my Mom's house and it is under water but not over the roof.
