Default PSI Superchargers, opinions needed

I have someone that want's to trade me a set of PSI Blowers for a pair of Blowershop 14-71's. I know nothing about these. They are very impressive looking. I know you only want to run a certain amount of boost, is there any advantage to using these huge PSI over 14-71's? Thank you

I believe PSI's have the built in intercooler. There is supposed to be a weight advantage as well.

I would question why they want to trade?

PSI's will make tons of power. They do not have built-in intercoolers and they are pretty heavy compared to a roots blower. They will pretty much bolt on where your 14-71's went. They only problem with the PSI's is that the rotors have such a huge mass that the splines inside the blower snoot wear out and rattle a little bit. The splines need to be replaced every 40 hrs or so. They do use a lot of fuel but they make tons of power!!!! You will forget about fuel consumption really fast once you hit the throttles.
ECat39, are those 6lb cut or 12lb cut PSI's you trading for? The cut refers to the outlet of the blower. A 6lb cut is most happy from 6-12psi and a 12lb cut is most happy from 12-24psi althought alcohol cars have had absolutely no problem making 45psi on a 6lb cut. The cut/outlet size shouldn't matter a whole lot as long as you have a good intake manifold.

Here are a few pics of the bacardi engines.
