Sutphen,Cigarette,Chief,Pantera. How do any of those
boats fit into the criterea wigglers looking for?
First of all, none are medium priced boats ( I think
thats what he means when he says competetive
pricing). Secondly, three of them are custom built
boats. Third, how can anyone really discuss Chief.
Correct me,but havent they only built 1 or 2 boats?
Who knows how they handle, are priced,or weather
they will even be in business long enough to even
have a warranty dept. Just trying to keep it real
fellas.

competetively priced = you get what you pay for. ide rather pay more and have great resale then the allternative. im sure wiggler wants to represent good quality and a boat that wont fall apart in the washing machine (loto).

Chief is mostly made up of Active Thunder molds from what ive read and they have already proven to be excellent rough water boats. Plus, i want Chief to be successful because of the class acts involved. jmho

Good luck with your choice Jim. You know what my first pick would be. Given the current dealer situation likely won't change, at least for some time, my second choice to fit your criteria would be ATs. Sonic might work too.

Not sure why, but it doesn't appear the west coast boats, overall, do that well at the lake. Nordic was there 4-5 years ago and did not sell well. Other than that I think the 25, 28 and 35 Nordics do meet your criteria.

From what I saw with the Adrenanline Powerboats they may be a great up and coming builder to be involved with. The V24 looks great and I'm sure the 30' will be much the same. Similar to Nortech and Outerlimits in a smaller package. Here is a previous link on them.

I would have to say Nordic. I really enjoy my 28 and it does a great job in Lake Mich. I think that Active Thunder, Lavey Craft or possibly Checkmate might not be a bad idea.

So...what are ya sayin. Outerlimits & Cigarette are
competetively priced because you get what you pay for?
I dont think thats what hes talkin about. Wiggler, jump in
here & explain. Great resale??? I don't think that exists
in the world of performence boating. Or do you mean
that I can sell a used 2003 top gun,for more than a
used 2003 42 Fountain. Not taking into account that it
costs twice as much.
Your statement on Chief says it all. You read a
little about it and are baseing your assesment of the
product on what you have read, never really having
ridden in one or even seen one up close.I'd also like to
see them be sucessful, along with powerplay, pantera
and many others that are on the edge or gone. For
my doller, I'm buying from a company thats been
around for awhile with a proven track record.
I found it odd that when asked for an opinion
with the criterea Wiggler set forth, that so many
people came up with boats such as Chief, sutphen,
Pantera & cig. Sunsation & powerquest are clearly
the type line hes probably looking for. High Quality,
but not exorbantly priced, with a good selection of
boats from 25-40 ft. How many 25 ft chiefs & cigs
are availible?
