Checkmate Convincor 253 questions
A few questions on a Checkmate Convincor 253.
24* deadrise? True V or does or a pad? Beam? Weight? Speed with a 502 Mag MPI? I run Lake Michigan and I want something that can run HARD in the rough.
Any other helpful info would be great!

Very good boat, I had a 242 Convincor before I bought my Nordic. With a 502mag that boat should run mid to upper sixities. The 253 has a 24 degree deadrise with none of the bs. I ran my 242 primary in Lake Mich and it did awesome for a 24ft boat, I think you we be happy with the performance of the 253 in rought h20.

I have a '99 259. It came with a 454 Magnum. It would run 65 gps all day, any day. This seaon I upgraded to a 540 that I built. It makes 680 hp, 660 torque. The boat runs 82 gps, handles the speed and rough great. When I say rough, I mean within reason. This is certainly not a 47 Outerlimits . For the money, it's a damn good boat.

Rebel is correct, The older 251 Convisors were a 71/2 Foot Beam, but I'm not sure about the 253. I have an older 251 that we run on lake Michigan, we will be out today if all goes well. Great Boat, but I still want a 38 or 41 Cig or Apache If you know what I mean.
