Question Boat Trailer Ladders ??

I was thinking about making or buying a ladder like this for my trailer .I figure ya could make it out of aluminum. It looks like it needs to be angled toward the boat for easier access to the front of the boat.I have seen them on a bunch of cat trailers but what about a v bottom boat? Looks like ya could fly a flag from it also

It would make it easier getting on the front of my Hustler when putting it in the water.

Any ideas or suggestions?????

Thanks
Rob

heres a example pick I found.

Will do.

I saw Ratmans before. His looks like it would work on the steel trailer . I have a Myco Aluminum trailer and figure Id make it out of aluminum to match the trailer.

make it like stairs instead of a ladder. I wish I could find the first picture of my trailer when I asked for a ladder on the front. I gave them a picture of an extreme trailers ladder & I got what looked like an extention ladder welded to the trailer. I had them take it back, gave them a new picture & it was a little better. I then took it back the 3rd time myself, gave them another picture & when it was a little better but still not right.

That my trailer, I wouldn't have one without it. There are more photos of it on the Myco site. I put my wife in charge of our kids and I load and unload the boat. It make is easy to run up the bow and down the ladder after pulling onto the trailer.

make the steps deeper than the inch or inch and a half that myco uses.... if your barefoot, that isn't wide enough... i like the ones were they turn a 2x3 on its side, much kinder to the feet..

I have a ladder on the front of my trailer and it works well. I have a tool box mounted on one side and the ladder is mounted on the other side in the front of the trailer. I'll try to dig up a picture...

i didn't have much room for mine as it was. i can still open the tailgate on the truck but didn't have near the amount of room needed to make it like a set of stairs. it's great at the boat ramp and at the gas station to get topside. mines is 1 1/4 sq tubing and it's no problem on the feet. you'll be glad you added it strip, i use mine every time i go out.
