42 cigarette 188th edition in N.NJ
 

Hi everyone,
interested in learning who owns the 42 cigarette TS 188th edition thats for sale near or around Brick NJ. THe boat has staggered Sterlings and #6s, bone color with a red #1 near the bow. i think they want 450K anyone have any leads?

Thanks J, we spoke with a person who said they are selling it last eve, and a few things seem a little iffy, which is why i wanted to speak with the horses mouth.

The boat is an X b/c of the staggered set up. I thought it was at Lake Cumberland recently for sale???

Cumberland was trying to broker the boat, it was never "at" Cumberland, it's located her in NJ. Cumberland had a 38 Top Gun 188th edition they had onsite and subsequently sold.

I just spoke to my friend, they supposedly closed the deal on Monday and the boat was paid for.

Am I missing something?? I thought that boat was in the Hampton Roads area of VA this summer. (I was sure it ran our poker run in July and was owned by a local at that time) Saw it on the river 2-3 times....or so I thought?????

What you probably saw was the 38 top gun, it was an identical paint job. They only made two; a 38 and a 42 to my knowlege.

The 42 has been locked up in a local garage here in NJ since last October.

Do you own "Panther"...the red racing 30' Wellcraft Scarab Panther ('86ish)?? That boat used to be not far from me in Pennsauken at a garage just off of Route 130 N. I last saw it at the auto salvage yard on Old River Road in "Pennsausage" about 2 years ago. Did you move up north somewhere??

Nope, the Panther race boat isn't me but I've met those guys at a few of the races over the years. I used to own a Scarab Panther though.

Only one 42X 188th st. edition I believe. I could be wrong but I think it's a one of a kind, maybe some others know.

I think the new owner is going to keep the boat in Florida primarily.

ONLY 1 BUILT...but with 2 different trailers...why?? I've seen some pics of the boat on a white trailer and others on a red one.

The trailers were not built for the boat, the first trailer (White) was made for a 50' OL, the second trailer (Red) was built for a rough rider.

The trailer was not sold with the boat, they were just used for transporting the boat. If you notice where the bow stops are on both trailers, you'll see that they are much bigger.

There were only 2 made and that was in 2004 a 38 and 42
