2" Imco shorties on 96' non-steeped 38' scarab

Thinking of buying 2" IMCO Shorties for 96' 38' non-stepped scarab. Anybody have experience with this or similar?

Ya may have trouble getting on plane .Its a heavy boat.Not sure about speed though?
