I, too, would like to purchase a copy. But wouldn't it just be easier to upload the film somewhere easily accessible, as a torrent file, perhaps? While I don't condone piracy, an official DVD release seems unlikely at this juncture.

You should think twice about using bit torrent as it is a popular form of p2p distribution of illegal material. That is the first thing ISP's are looking for now.
Reference the below article on more information about some of the new rules being implemented. Same thing in every country is happening. US, Australia, UK and other European countries along with the EU pushing new laws. Many already have or are implementing some stiff penalties for distributing or downloading copyrighted material. ALL your activity is monitored and stored. Currently depends on the isp as to how long. If you really still want to do it don't use torrent. Use sftp to a private server then download via sftp. sftp is an encrypted protocol that uses public private key encryption. They will have to decrypt to find out what it is, with 2048bit or 4096bit rsa they will not be able to. Though the computer and server you uploaded to and from could be searched with forensic tools and found even if you delete it, unless you use fat or ext2 a non journaled file system and a file shredder to over write it at least hundred times, you might hide it. Might not want to use the name of the movie! Beware of they, them and those - they are watching everything you do online. Google you will find lots of stuff on new rules regulations. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,238826100.asp |

The good old days of dialing up on a 9600 baud modem and downloading a crudely copy-protected piece of software to try and run on a 386 with FAT16 DOS have long since passed (cyberspace used to be the final frontier in those days). I also haven't used any of the major search engines in many years. The Startpage search engine has proven itself to be far superior in every way when compared to the big three. In any case, is there a definite source from which one can legally obtain a copy of Thunderboat Row? |
