PayPal Scams are alive and well
I just got an email that looked like it was from PayPal advising me they had sent a $198 as payment for a fake gold Rolex. I checked my account and there wasn't such a transaction so I checked theier website and it was another fake since it started with "Dear PayPal Member".
Paypal site says they NEVER start an email that wya--they ALWAYS use your account name in salutation. Of course they were "experiencing higher than normal call volume" and the wait time to talk to an agent was a Brazilian hours. I did get to test all the prompts on thier "Customer SERVICE" phone number. Paypal has some tolerable features but those damned computerized response systems are CRAP--not Customer Serives. |
Re: PayPal Scams are alive and well
I get it all the time  It will sometimes say that another user purchased something with your paypal account also I always ignore it. If I don't see anything coming out of my paypal account I don't pay it any attention and yes paypal will address you with you name.

If you used the link from the fake e-mail to check your account, then you need to immediately change your passwords for paypal, and for ebay!
