Aftermarket fuel tanks for GMC?
Does anyone know who makes an aftermarket larger fuel tank for a 2005 GMC 2500HD? I have a shortbed with a small tank...it's only 28 gallons. I either want to replace the tank or put one in the bed of the truck that you cannot see fom the side. (I don't want it visible)
Any suggestions? Thanks :drink: |

Can't Wait, from here on the boad had a larger tank installed in his 2500 a couple of yrs ago. I believe it was a factory replacement done at the dealer, but not for sure. :D

I just bought a 2006 2500hd crewcab shortbed and am also looking for something that will go in the front of the bed with maybe a toolbox over it.

Re: Aftermarket fuel tanks for GMC?
I have heard of some people who have these tanks and are happy with them.... I have a 2500HD with the 8.1L and only a 26 gallon tank - my range is about 150 miles towing..

Well, this is too bad. The Ford Excursion has a 50gal tank and an 800 mile range empty.

Get a hold of Dock Holiday here on OSO. He added a combo tool box and fuel tank to his F350. It is hidden beneath the bed rails.

My nephew works at a GM dealer in Idaho and they designed a 63 gallon tank that replaces the factory tank for the 2500 hd diesel. I'll get the specifics for you tonight and post them tomorrow.
