I went to atco once a year with the AMA Prostar series for many years. Motorcycle drags...
Loved the Tiki bars there
After 18 consecutive seasons drag racing motorcycles, I took this year off to go boating.
I've been 7.30s at 185 on a bike there and it wasn't much fun looking at that ol armco barrier aka bike racer decapitators... The track was so bad we started running 1/8th mile in the faster classes. They are supposed to be making major improvements over the winter and have it back on the schedule for '06.

Oh yea... home track.
We won the bike championship there in '90 and '95 I believe were the years. Ran their series from 87-98 or there abouts.
My daughter ran there too. First in Jr Dragsters then this Super Comp Dragster when she was 16yrs old running a best of 8.7 at 170mph.
Here is a couple of her from there....

Started my racing there at 13yrs old would have been 14yrs ago I love that track just got to crowded and we couldn't get to many passes in so we started to go to pacemakers, my dad and brother still go there every once in a while for super chevy and spring nationals and will run there Camaros and Malibus, we use to run quite a bit with Jegs and a guy named Rick Murphy. I use know some guys who raced some bikes to. Pitts was the guys last name he had a shop in Columbus and Josh Kincaid. I was there the night Mr. Raiders son the guys who use to own the track was racing his bike against the car and the car lost control and crushed him up agains the wall and drug him down the track. I will never forget that night. After that night they would no longer let bikes race cars.

1966 Ford Mustang Fastback. Bracket car but still street legal. 7.55 1/8 mile best. Small block Ford with Powerglide and electronics. Fast enough to run electronics class but slow enough to make everyone chase me. Everything on the car works fron the heater to the windshield wipers.

JCperf, will it be in Orlando next week?

Last year #1 was 7.11 @202mph and the bump was 7.51. It will probably take low 7.40's to get in the field this year with #1 being in the 6's. BTW, this is a 32 car field!!
The 10.5 class is sickening when you think about it.
