Key West Lodging Options

I know it kind of late, but it looks like I'm going to make Key West with the wife and another couple. I'm going to tow the Sonic down and I need some suggestions for a hotel (3-5 star) and either dock space or a ramp to launch.

This is going to be our first time to this event so I'd like to make it a good one. This way Mamma will want to go year after year. With all the parties I don't think we could have a bad time if we tried. :D :drink:
Thanks in advance

It looks like the Doubletree or Sunrise Suites still have a few rooms - they are out by the airport but nice places...........no marina. At this point I would suggest call them asap or contact a rental agent...........not much left! Of course, there is always Sunset Key, if you really want to impress her. Go for it!

What is Sunset Key ? Big $$ right?
If there is no marina I would imagine there is a ramp somewhere I could drop in and out as needed?
Thanks

Sunset Key is very big $$.......for there you would have to ramp in, in Key West and go to their marina (I assume they have one) go to sunsetkey.com.......the spectator area is between sunset key and key west.......near the turn in the harbor......very close proximity
otherwise, yes......there are large parking lots at the hotels I suggested and you would use the closest public ramp
also look up Coconut Mallory.........it's new.......2 bedroom suites with a marina but may be full by now.

We are staying at the Artist House which seems to be a pretty nice B & B lots of charm and in walking distance to the bars :drink:
THE ARTIST HOUSE
534 Eaton Street
Key West, FL 33040

My advice is do a search on Key West, Mrs Wiggenout put a link to a great key west web site that lists tons of places to stay it even has a map locater. Three weeks ago when I called there were a lot of places to stay. You can also call the Key West chamber they would probably know about the launches and Marinas, the problem is probably finding space for the trailer. See you at the party :drink:

Don't be affraid of staying up around the airport. I have been going to the Keys for well over 20 years and to me Duvall Street gets old quick. And the area around the airport has the nicest beaches. I like going to Duvall Street...then coming back to my nice quiet hotel or condo !!!! Damnnn, I must be getting old......I can't beleive I just said that. Dave
