Now what are you thinking?????

I have a friend in Miami that has a 2000 or 2001 walk around.

Power was yanmars(HP???) with bravo three drives.

Had a nice forward v -berth and head.

Would cruise in 4-6 footers at 50MPH all day and burn 50 gallons of fuel.

I'll try to get a pic.

A.B.

Now that is funny... :D And true too!

I used to have one that was bought as an "x-drug" runner. 700 gals of fuel and no "cabin"... Cool lookin boat though.

I have a Midnight Express. You can get them setup with 2, 3 or 4 engines.

Fast and build well. This is also the new coast guard boat.

You can find them at MidnightExpress.CC

Re: Midnight Express 39 ???

The new incarnation of Midnight Express has no relation to the company of the 80's that US Customs put out of business. Customs still has and runs several of the 37's seized from the company in the 80's. Most were rigged with quad outboards. The new Midnight is also being purchased by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) but it is a different boat. The original was a 37' with 24 degree straight vee. The new boat has been stretched to 39' with a 22 degree running surface but still rigged with the quad O/B's. The older boats were heavier and plowed through anything. The newer boats are lighter. The new Midnights were much needed after Customs soon learned the 42' Fountains they purchased were crap. Customs also has some splashed Midnights which were built by a company called Ocean Express. Those boats were 39'.

warbird,
Nice to see you around here again, are you taking that beast to KW this year? I think we are leaving on Wed to go down from Key Largo.

Jerry,
You might want to also check out the HydraSport 33. It comes in a center console model and a cabin version. You check them out at Plantation Boat Mart in Tavernier, or give Carl a call at 305-582-2737. He will be glad to help you out. Last I heard they had several different Mfgr's boats sitting around and you can do a REAL side-by-side comparison. BTW, are ya'll going to KW? I've got our Michigan buddy and his lovely bride riding down with us, it was tough to get that BudLite truck to follow us though :drink:

Leopajm,
I went on Ryan's this summer. Its the one you probably always seen running around the islands. When we went to take off, Ryan told us to hold on!!! Surprised the sh*t out of me!! He buried the trottles and it took of like a jetski!!! The acceleration was phenominal(variable boost to consistantly produce 250-hp). Thank got I was holding on. I was really impreased. He even let it through some hard turns, laying it on its side. Only problem was outside engine would blow out. Rigging was exeptional. The flourescent lights rigged up in the cannopy were cool to.
Just my 2 cents,
Jack Jr.
