Is there a Hours to Miles Formula? Is there a standard formula to convert hours to a boats engine to miles?

On most cars if you combine city and highway driving it is about 40 miles per hour!

1hour = 100 miles. Boat engines maintain a much higher constant engine rpm then cars.

I wish I had that kind of ratio.

The comon conversion in the heavy equipment world is 1 hour equals 20 miles.

On late model Gm trucks with the key on engine off press and hold the odometer trip reset and the engine hours will show. Kinda neat.

My Garmin shows just under 20mph for moving time average.
It depends on how much no-wake you have to deal with.

That figure has been fairly consistant over the past few years.

I always heard the same thing. Seems about right given boats cruise at 3000-3500 rpm while cars are more like 1500-2500 rpm.
