Cobalt 360 vs Formula 370 SS

I’ve been on and talked to several people that own the 370 SS and have been really impressed with the boat and Formula. Recently I saw an ad for the Cobalt 360 and really liked the styling. How does the 360 compare to the 370 SS and how is the quality of Cobalt?

Cobalt is the best built boat if it's type. Rolls-Royce of sorts. I have a friend who has a 360. I have more hours driving it than him! It is a fantastic boat and was done right. With 420hp volvo BBCs in it it will almost crack 60 mph with a light load of fuel. It is no longer made, as Cobalt is moving up in sizes coming really really soon. Far superior boat to a Formula, in styling, amenities and comfort.

That explains why the 360 is no longer listed on their website. I'm at least a year away from purchasing and I will be looking for used one. Seems like you really like the 360, what does she cruise at? I like the built in sun lounges in the stern but does that make the cockpit seem tight? Have you ever been on a 370 SS?

Re: Cobalt 360 vs Formula 370 SS

Never been on a 370. We have had as many as 20+ on the 360 and it is tight then, we normally have 8-10 and everyone has a place to sit, but it is still 8-10 people. Typically we cruise at 30 mph but we don't look for best cruise speed, we just look for getting there when we get there. :drink:
We don't use the lounges while underway, but I don't think they make it feel tight. I would rather have seen he space used differently, but it is what it is.

Find that very hard to believe. I don't believe any boat made is "FAR" superior to a Formula.

Throw the fact in that you admit you haven't been on a Formula, now what would you think of your post???

Here's a hint: pretty lame.....

i couldn't agree more.

It's one thing to say how well built the Cobalt is. Quite another to say it's far superior to the Formula without ever being on the Formula.

Iguess there's no substitution for ignorance.

Ok you Formula guys, you make a valid point. I didn't intend for this post to offend anyone, just wanted some information. Has anyone that has been on a 370 want to comment on the 360 or Cobalt boats?
