Geez Rik it took you long enough to see this thread....

I heard Dale hates that boat. Tooo slow with the Sterling 850's and those Aresons keep blowing up :evilb: :D

I see he's happy driving that Formula condo out for fleet week. and on that note. When is Spangler getting his Nortech fixed?

Going to Benicia tomorrow? We'll be there in the Advantage again, just spectating as usual.

500k was thrown out for another boat, not this exact boat...

what was the damage for a boat like his?

Sure is purdy.
Any pics of the interior?
Im kinda of surprised there hasnt been more on this boat. Its been finished for a while and it is a "New" Skater model.
Where is it located?

Hey now
Rik,you really don't know:
Rigged price of the "Speed-30"
Top Speed of the "Speed-30"
Why so hush, hush?
Hydro
Philip I really don't care what the cost is, as Peter said it would not fit my application. I need this machine in a 40.
Chris how long do I have to wait for a "Speed-40?"

No way that is a $500K boat. Im sure its pricy but that seems a bit exagerated.

you guys need to read closer, i think we were talking about merc 1075's in a boat like that would push 500k (read mercury priced stuff) :D

Hey Sean
If you got pics so close you can see the reflection of the neighboring houses in the transom. I want more.

Re: One bad Machine

That boat is from Discovery Bay up the delta from San Francisco. The boat was $$ but I don't know how much. I've heard "rumors" but I realy have no idea of $. I have seen the boat run and it is fast. It's a pretty sweet little ride and I love the idea of big inch naturally asperated mills with Arnesons.

It held up with the big boys on the Big Cat this summer. I think Rik was running the sticks so he'll know better.

Re: One bad Machine

First it does not have big power, no blowers, no special engines no nothing. Certainly no 850 hp or anywhere even close, that would have been big $$.

Yes they are Sterling engines, but his small naturally aspirated single carb ones. With the price of gas, it made sense and it is fairly economical to run. 50-60 gal/hr for low 700's

The boat is clean; it was really hard to build a boat that is “Clean” as it is just hard to get a concept to creation to what you see in the photos. I did not have a wild interior built. Why? The communication goes through the David Clark head sets, Stereo and Intercom. I did not build a “Party Palace” rather a clean easy to use boat. It is very comfortable and fun to drive.

No dual gauge, no dual steering no dual-dual-dual. Single driver, (Single owner) boat. This is what leads to the clean look.

It has a bed/area under the deck for storage as well as storage in the cockpit and a storage area in the aft. More than enough room for life jackets, first aid kit, bumpers and lines and bottled water.

It’s 33’ AOL, so it is not small and it is not a 28’Skater with a flat deck. This boat dwarfs a 28 in every area.

Big Cat run was luck, we would have been very close reguardless but it was still luck.

If some one would pay $500K for this boat, I will build copies all day long and even deliver them to your location with a tank of gas. The future value of the gas alone makes it a deal!

This is the coolest boat I have ever seen. Please post more pictures. I have already reserved significant memory on my hard drive for your pictures.

I saw the mold being built for the 30. It was not a spin off of the 28. All new baby.

Re: One bad Machine

I'm starting to think that we aren't supposed to know anything about this boat. Come on, what's the deal, inquiring minds want to know????

1. Horse power?
2. Cubic inches?
3. Top end speed so far?
4. How much?
5. How long to get something like it?
6. How does it handle in calm water and rough water?

Come on Rik, we know you've got the answers!
