End of Powerboating?

http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/syriana/hd/

what the movie trailer first.

We are supposed to nearly run out of oil in about 10 years. This movie shows what it could be like when we get down to the wire. Gas prices at the pump $20.00!!!! Who would be able to fill up their boat every weekend or who would even have a boat. Hydrogen powered engines probably wont be powerful enough to be in high performance boats. Boat companies might be forced into going out of business...

THIS WOULD BE REALLY BAD    lol

Matt Damon really sucks so I didn't watch the trailer, but $20 a gallon would suck even more than MD.

It's an interesting tale of science fiction, but The sky is not falling.

Amazingly, there is some very compelling evidence to the contrary, but no one hears about it. But just think what this "oil crisis" is doing for the purse strings for so many in the oil industry. Oil crises are good, right.

Maybe, just maybe:

In 1978 they were saying we'd run out in 10 years also...

Read Paul Zane Pilzer's book "Unlimited Wealth" it should put your mind at ease...

Re: End of Powerboating?

We have enough oil shale in the rockies to meet our power needs for the next 500 years, not to mention the the tar sands in Canada, or the vast coal reserves here in the us, all of which could easily be turned into gasoline. All it takes is the initial capital investment for the plants to convert it - and as long as oil remains above $35 a barrel is it all economically feasable. Getting the tree-huggers to go along with it might be another matter. I'm sure they would love to see $20 a gallon gasoline.

Re: End of Powerboating?

There was a great article in the Wall Street Journal early this year pointing out the only reason oil is expensive is because it is actually cheap. No one will invest in recovery of tar sands or other "expensive" sources since at a moments notice the price of oil could drop to $5/bl (at which they still would make money) and put those investors on the trailer.

Now, doesn't the whole oil industry look like nothing but a scam to make a few rich people even richer???
