It was a guy named Barnett, Jack I think. He was from Pearland I believe. Kept the boat at Clear Lake Marine Center. His old slip still has the name on it with a big picture of an Indian on the wall.

He did have a HUGE house on Tiki Island. I remember it being for sale for a long time. I don't think it was where he lived at the time. Then it burnt down. Poor guy doesn't seem to have much luck with fires.

stick and slicky was another awesome boat!!!!

This was over 10 years ago, maybe it was rebuilt?

Or I could of been told the wrong house (I went by and looked at it). It was dark wood and had a huge boat lift.

Whatever happened to Bubba's old 36' War Party? Last I heard it was at National Liquidators but that was a year or two ago.

I'm glad to see that it appears to still be in good shape.

Jayl13 03-15-2011 08:35 PM

Both of these war party's were painted by Rons Body Shop in Houston TX
41 war party took 18 months to paint, was painted once and not liked, so stripped bare and painted again from scratch.
Gail P had nothing to do with either of these 2 boats in anyway.

glassdave 03-15-2011 10:27 PM

Alton Gillespie painted the 47

Bobby took a look at it recently and concurred that it's still in great shape!:drink:

Budda, did the boat originally have the 525SC's?

Yes it has always had 525 SCs. I had Brad Smith convert them to roller/rocker instead of flat tappet a few years back though.
