Another classified section scam

here is another classified section boat scam.
This guy pulled my dick for 5 emails assuring me he was for real, (Yet again never asked one question about the condition of the boat, always indicates a scam to me), before sending this email:

Hello Evans,

My client has agred to pay $8,500 for your boat. However, you have to give us
sometime to contact our client on phone, we have been trying his line for sometime now i believe is switched off, The amount in the check he deposited for the
order is bigger than what should be paid to you, though it's meant for the total expenses which includes the purchase , the pick up and the shipping bills. so we want to know if we shall carry on with that or if he will make arragement for another check
ASAP. He is presently in canada . just hang on ,i will get back to you as soon as i conclude issues with him.
Acknowledge and get back if suitable with you .

The grammar, spelling, puntuation, capitalization, sentence structure, etc... is also a dead give away. No respectable broker or dealer would send that message.

Re: Another classified section scam

it took a few emails until I noticed the ".uk" on the email addy.
I told him I wasn't going for any international scams but he stayed in, I can't imagine why.

Here was my reply:

Hi Graham,
While there are notifications of many scams
involving
over payments for purchases on international
sales of
cars and boats, and this latest turn sounds even
more
like a scam I have heard many times, However I'm sure
your
offer is quite legitimate.
You will need to send an intenational wire
transfer or
certified funds into my bank account which will
otherwise be empty.
When the funds are clear for withdrawal, however
long
that takes, I will be happy to use the excess to
cover
your shipping expenses, and deliver the boat to
the
shipping depot.
I will not be using any funds what-so-ever to
cushion
or clear your purchase.

I'd be shocked to hear back from him

Re: Another classified section scam

Tell him you'll send him a check for the difference but the check you have to send him is for $400 k and as soon as he sends you the difference in cash the boat and your check will be underway.

Should take care of that Nigerian.

Beyond the rest of the obvious give aways, who the hell uses an "agent" to buy an 8500 dollar boat?

I get these emails also, I let the expletives fly, calling them every name in the book and just plain try to piss them off enough to come to my home so I can beat the $hit out of them.
