Miami Boat show?

where to stay?
Looking for advice.
Been a few years since i have been and cannot remember what place it was. But then again I would rather not stay there :(

It was just a few blocks down from the Convention center.

We are staying at a placed called the Dorchester, which is a few blocks away from the show from what we were told.

This will be our first Miami Boat Show and we're looking forward to. Will head over to Naples on Saturday and spend some time there before heading back to the snow in Cleveland :(

I stay at the Winterhaven in SoBe. 1400 Ocean Dr. This will be the third year now. Renovated in 2001, Small but nice Deco rooms, awesome lobby w/ Martini Bar :drink: and big front porch to hang on. 10 minute walk to convention center, 5 minute stumble from The Cleavlender :drink: :evilb:
I found a rate of $165 by shopping the web, most places were trying to get $299.

No parking at the Clevelander. I've never rented a car while at the boat show. taxi fares are alot cheaper than DWI's! :D :drink: :D :drink: :evilb: :evilb:

As far as hotels, you usually get what you pay for. Ask Biggus about the $43/ night hotel that he stayed at a few years ago!! One of my co-workers went to Miami and stayed at a cheap hotel. He left after an hour and it took him weeks to get all of the bugs out of his hair, luggage and clothes.
