Re: Who makes the best Stainless Steel exhaust tips with internal flappers?
I have had a set of Corsa's and a set of Eddie Marine's and I had better luck with the EM's. The flappers on the Corsa's kept sticking open making them useless in preventing back surge. The flapper system on the EM's worked flawlessly. They have a much better design for the flappers and the EM's are less expensive so I guess I would have to give them my vote.

GGB makes a sweet muffler with an internal flapper. Rex, Harden/CP, and Eddie all have tips with internal flappers that work quite well.
The GGB's have a rubber flapper that operates quietly and seem to be lasting around 200 hrs. GGB will replace the flap for free if it burns out. Unless of course you are running dry pipes and then NO flapper will last.
The others make what is called a "Non-Burn" flapper that is a metal flap with vulcanized rubber seals. They do work well and don't burn out. However..... they rattle at idle and it sounds like your motor is comming appart. You'll get used to it but just be aware before you install them.

I installed Stainless Marine tips earlier this year. You do hear some rattling at idle but with three engines it is kid of hard to hear it
