Pat if there is any way to get some info on the Comfort Inn, I would be real appreciative. We have reservations there but the website says maybe the 10th at the earliest. We have other resrvations but I need to know which one to cancel. Thanks.

That is one of the ones along that line on Roosevelt, that their first floor got damaged and that's why they put their "up and running" date for the 10th. But they might still be short on a few rooms.
Again, if their laundry operations etc. was on the first floor, that's what will take longer to get going.
I'll try to get more definite info. on them.

Fly into Miami Wed. stay at Biscayne Marriot, run down w/FPC Thursday.
Botto fest at the Pier House Thursday-Monday. Haul aZZ home Monday morning to catch a plane at Miami @ 4:30pm :drink:

I'm only the messenger........
and things are improving but some things won't change.
Casa Marina is NOT going to be open. ALL of their electrical/operational, below ground level systems are too damaged.
Comfort Inn downstairs is gone....
Inn at KW (old Ramada) .......very damaged, possibly not opening.
Sheraton is closed now....front damage.....maybe next week.
Radisson, I'm told no problems
B&B's near south end of Duval near Southernmost , many are damaged, it varies, call and confirm those.
Personal suggestion.........if your coming in early, CHECK IN EARLY. If your coming in around the 15th/16th, wait until next monday, the 7th to call the 800-flakeys number for updates and confirmations. They are trying very hard but those who have major damage can't promise.
I don't have any answers other than that and that the races will still happen.
I hope if any of this applies to you, you can look into it yourself and make new arrangements.
KLAATU where are you? I don't want to be the only messenger..... do you have any different info.?
