No, buzzi had nothing to do with the transom. Those were designed and built when Super Hawaii was located at the old Aquasport plant in Hialeah florida and were designed to be production boats with a Euro flair. The euro series Buzzi boats were something else alltogether. Kitami wanted to build a name in Offshore racing, what better way than to buy the best running V-bottom of the day and put your name one it?(Gancia Dei Gancia became Super Hawaii) So after racing the 46 Buzzi boat, Kitami (owner of SH) just purchased the molds from Buzzi and built the Buzzi designed boats as SH's. The Buzzi SH's are very, very rare, most went to Japan, because of the low hull/decks on these boats the cabins were very small and lacked headroom therefore making the boat a commercial failure. It was probably one of the best running v-hulls ever made. I owned the Buzzi 46 tooling for a few years and ended up selling the molds to Concept Boats (?!?!?!) in miami.

Nope. John Michel (owner of intrepid) personally crushed the molds as it was explained to me it was sort of payback to Kitami (the guy who purchased Intrepid and merged it with SH). I ended up buying all of the molds except the 34, I got the 23, 40 and the Buzzi 46.
John Michel is a little eccentric, his theory of crushing the molds so that nobody else could manufacture them makes sense, its just so harsh. Whats strange though is that when I got the 46 (ex gancia dei gancia raceboat molds) the owner of Concept beat my door down to buy the mold from me back in 2001, we made a deal and he moved the mold to his shop where its sat outside untouched since then....
The deck mold was destroyed, the hull mold was sold to David Aronow and is in the possession of Apache/ Marc Mcmannus.
