What´s What ?
 

Hi all I´ve been looking for a while of a few s.c. "project boats" mainly those missing engines as I have a few BBCs at home.

The question is that what do you guys rank the manufacturers to in craftmanship/resale value/ desirability and such..pro´s/cons?

For example how does the flat decks rank againt each other in the 38ft range.
Like a Cig 38 TG vs a Scarab38KV ?
And how does the spinoffs of a Cig for example rank or Aronows projects after he left Cig ?

In my eyes Cigarette is number one closely followed by Aronows other projects and Scarabs being also tied in the mix.

Howabout Squadron , Excalibur, and a lot of others ...What makes springs to your mind as good candidates when looking for a project?
*all over 10yr old boats are that...


And a list of order would sound ok.

were do you rank Fountain? I would sell my 42 minus Power

Well nice boat IF you like the looks which I Don´t. No PUN intended But im too old school biased.

Fast they are as the sole Poker Run we had this year in Finland was "won" with a stock 38 Fountain with twin 525sc´s running at 80+knots.

Now you forced me to make a list of my preferences.

1. Cigarette
2. Apache
3...Get the picture :D
