WHERE are the MAGNUMS

WHERE are the MAGNUMS
Who's got a 27' Magnum Sport or Starfire that they want to get rid of? Or is there a Magnum club or chat line around, somewhere, anywhere? I don't need one that runs, I just need a hull to re-do and re-power. Come on guys, help me, please!

Re: WHERE are the MAGNUMS
What happened to...
I'm looking for a pristine 27' Magnum. Anyone out there that has one for sale, or knows where I can find one, please let me know. Tony

3 on Boattrader.com - in the end you will spend what you can buy Magnumans for..if pristine is your goal. Life is short - spend your time on the water - unless you already have another boat.

Re: WHERE are the MAGNUMS
Thanks for the info. I've looked at all of the MAG'S you've mentioned. They've been for sale for a long, long time. They're not what I'm looking for, or anybody else is looking for, for that matter, otherwise they would have been sold a long time ago. Their decks have either been modified or they are not SPORTS or STARFIRES. I don't want a 27' MALTESE, it looks like a cruiser. THERE'S A BIG difference. The fact of the matter is, I'm looking for a 27' MAGNUM, with a stock hull and deck that hasn't been altered. I don't care what engines or drives it has or wheather it has any at all. I just want a stock SPORT or STARFIRE hull and deck. That's the one that Arronow won all the races with, became famous for, and made a fortune building them too. All the other configurations look like **** and are worthless, even if they have the same hull bottom. By the way, YES I DO have another boat, actually TWO other boats. In the meantime, HAVE A NICE DAY!

Re: WHERE are the MAGNUMS
FLYWITHME......I feel your pain.....Magnum 27 info and boats for sale are hard to find compared to other boats.
I talked to Magnum and they said they only built just over 400 27 hulls in over 30 years.....this includes Sports, Sedans, Starfires and Center Consoles.
Out of the 400 or so hulls I figure only about 250 at the most were Sports. So.....you're talking about a fairly rare boat IMHO.
When I found my '74 Sport recently I snapped it up as I knew I wouldn't find many like it.
Good luck and when you do find something let me know.....I'm "compiling" a 27 Sport registry of sorts. When I collect about 100 boats I may actually put together a web site.
Regards,
Aaron

Thanks 24 Degrees...I think you know where I'm coming from, and where I want to go. I'd like to see some pics of yours, if you would be so kind. It must be nice. And, Red Dog, thanks for the lead. Please tell me where I can get info on "Old Grumpy". [email protected]
