STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
Anyone see this boat. It was stolen from L&M Marine near Lake Lanier in North Georgia around Oct 28th or 29th. The boat is a 1991 28" Apache Brave, It is white with black/yellow checkerboard design on the sides with 2 thin blue lines running through. On the front fairing is APACHE in bold black print! The boat has twin engines with Latham steering and Bravo drives. Silver Aluminum swim platform. Interior is light blue with yellow/white trim. Triple axle trailer. Please PM me if you have seen this boat and the guy with the iron balls that towed it away or you can contact the Forsyth County Sheriff's Dept. at 770-781-2222. |

Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
Ask DEA to look in a warehouse in Powder Springs.....heard they keep 28-29 foot boats there all the time.........
Seriously, hope they nail the fugger. If Beau and I get abnormally large checks from Bill Harris this month I'll let you know. Greg |
Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
Greg did you get another 34$ check this month?
|
Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
Probably. I won't walk to the mailbox to look for a $34 check.

Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA

Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
Thanks to all:
Engines are Gary Grimes "Grimes Racing" built 496's. They are anodized dark blue with Demon carbs, Bravo 1 HP drives, with McGaurd locks on them. Props fortunately were sitting in my garage, I pull them after every run! If anything comes out of this, I will have a set of labbed 27's re-pitched to 28 for sale :( |
Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
Sorry to hear about your 28, it sucks I know all to well.
|
Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
I am only 2 1/2 hrs north of atlanta. I will also keep my eyes open for you. It wouldn't hurt to check e-bay every now and then. I had a friend that recently had a car trailer stolen only to find it on e-bay within a couple days. I wish you the best.

Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
What a beautiful boat, I'll keep my eyes out for it. To my knowledge there is not a 28 Apache on Long Island Sound. It'll be easy to spot if they run it here.
A$$holes  |

Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
Mike,
I just read this  Where is L&M Marine? I take it that it is in Forsyth county? If you could e-mail me a picture I will print it off and show it around on this side of the lake. [email protected] I hope that this is not a growing problem around here. If there is anything I can do, just let me know. I do have a little time on my hands before we start building a house. We are leaving for S. Fl. this Fri. so we'll look around while we are down there. Robert |
Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
I posted a pic and description on the Georgia Outdoor News forum too. Those hunters and fishermen are looking and talking about cutting hands off and hanging the guys that stole your boat!!!

Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
A lot of times stolen boats go through the auto auctions in states that do not require titles on boats such as TN. Was the boat documented? If so you will need to contact the CG documentation office. Also post stolen notices with as many auto auctions in surrounding non title states. I also think there is a site for stolen boats. You might want to check with the owners of close by boat storage barns for any new renters. Hope this helps. Joe Murray

Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
I'll watch for it down here. I'm in and out of so many marinas during the week; maybe I'll get lucky.
|
Re: STOLEN "APACHE 28" ATLANTA, GA
A dead give-away will be the bright yellow steering wheel and the silver swim platform I bought from Fred at Trick Marine...
