I had one of those older stand up jet skis with no lanyard. when you fell off, it would turn and go in circles until it came back around to you.

I sold it to a guy, and about 6 months later, he told me he fell off of it, but somehow the throttle cable stuck. It went straight to the shore and busted up on the rocks. someone walked over from the shore and turned it off. He was very lucky that was all that happened.
