This looks great. I will have to contact Sunsation as the weekend for Bluewater conflicts with the weekend for their annual rally, and Port Huron is in their back yard. Might be too late for this year, but eventually it would be nice if they were back to back weekends versus competing weekends.

i talked to Diane over at Sunsation she thinks the Sunsation rally is the week before the Blue Water Thunder she wasnt positive but thought this to be true

That would be great - now I just need to figure out plans on staying up there all week and learning where to go and not go. I figure it isn't worth coming home just to turn around and head back up 4 days later. :drink:

I figure I can find some of the Sunsation owners to go out with me during the week to show me the area. :D

Donna,

Yes it is the same weekend as the races in St Clair

We are not directly connected to the race but we picked the date to be complinmentary to the race
To have a full weekend worth of offshore boating

Friday fun and Make a Wish kids rides and all the other stuff we do
Saturday the run
Sunday offshore boat racing

who could ask for any more

Port Huron is a two cities over (aprox 15 miles) we did not want to have issues with hotels for both events so we thought it would be good to set up the poker run a few miles away
we are close enough that after the poker run is done saturday night that the participants can go over and watch the races on sunday
should be a fun weekend

Thanks Marc, You are right it should be a great combination weekend :D . Are you going to have the boats in the big municiple marina or at the downtown docks. That big marina is probably one of the nicest municiple marinas I have ever been at. I checked out the web site and it is very cool and nice to look at. You and you and your group will sure have a lot on your hands.

Donna,

We will house the entire event at Bridge Harbour Marina (Up the black river a little bit) we have lots of room there for boats and a first class facility for use by all event participants we have use of tennis court, a Hot tub, Swimming Pool, and the marina is across the street from 5 major hotels

we will be parking at the downtown marina at lunch time and hanging out there for lunch untill we leave to run the second half of the day

We are working to have the riverside launch ramp lengthnd and i have a meeting on that issue this week
the launch ramp is about 100 yards from the marina by water and will be perfect for about 80% of the boats that come

For those that need to sling in or have other special needs for launching we have availability of a travel lift and a boat fork lift about 2 miles away

Fuel will be available on the water

110, 92, and 89 octane

we will run under the blue water bridge (see the atached pic) This is going to be a great event and will live up to everything we do at SOTW

Hey Marc, I'm just a dumb redneck, but ya might want to check your itinerary. Last time I looked, Lexington and Port Sanilac are *north* of Port Huron, and Algonac and St. Clair are *south* of Port Huron. ;)

Sorry to say We could not obtain the permits nessesary to put on the run and had to cancel it

We posted the cancelation a few months ago

We would have loved to put the evnt on as the venue was great for this run
