I delete my stuff because I just don't know what the hell I'm talking about most of the time.

It appears that there has been an increase in "negativity" in OSO over the last four/five months. I'm not talking about the good natured "bantering" that goes on, I'm talking about people just being flat out disrespectful towards others for offering a different take, perspective, or opinion.

I have to plead guilty on occasion because there is one "member" here who just drives me up a wall. However, the other 99.99 % of the time I will always defend someone's right to disagree with me.

I've seen a lot of occasions recently that, for lack of a better phrase, just shows no manners (as my Father would have said) at all. Way too much of who got the biggest "richard" going on. I know that I'm not the only one who has noticed it. I'm not accusing anybody of anything, I just let the posts speak for themselves.

I've had conversations with some longtime members here who are getting really fed up with the direction OSO is going. What always set OSO not just apart, but above, the other Forums seems to be disappearing.

Speaking for myself, I'm going to avoid the he said, he said, type Threads and just stick with the ones that have some type of pertienent meaning.

I am not trying to offend anyone here, or make any accusations. I just know what I enjoy reading and what I don't particularly enjoy reading. Nobody died and left me in charge and different stokes for different folks.

As far as the original point of this thread, I think a lot of people are getting caught up "in the moment" and end up stating stupid things. I've done it on occasion and have gone back and deleted that particular post.

I think it would be a good idea for everyone to take a step back and try to visualize just what we want this Forum to be.

Right now a lot of it reminds me of a old time woman's beauty shop. (no offense meant to our female members)

Don't mean to piss anybody off.
