Callan "Miss Longlite" Barrel Rolls in KW
I just talked to Robin Cosker, (John Cosker's wife), and both Dave Callan and John Cosker are OK, thank god! :D The C50 did a complete barrel roll, and landed right side up, lady luck was there for that part of the crash. :( Anyway, just had to post that my good friends, John and Dave are ok, whew! :drink: Don't know the condition of the C50, I know they are getting it pumped out right now, and they are trying to get it on the trailer ASAP. John and I will talk later today, and I'll update more when I know more.
Thanks, Dean |

Re: Callan "Miss Longlite" Barrel Rolls in KW
Saw the boat - it's got some damage to the starboard sponson - a couple of splits and some surface damage - it was to high to see on top .........
|
Re: Callan "Miss Longlite" Barrel Rolls in KW
Glad to hear all turned out well for the both of them.
|
Re: Callan "Miss Longlite" Barrel Rolls in KW
i hope it can be repaired...that thing is beautiful and born to be badazz
|
Re: Callan "Miss Longlite" Barrel Rolls in KW
The boat looks repairable. There were a couple surface cracks but structurally the boat is fine. Rear rudder needs some work. The video or it was crazy. I think more then one camera cought it too, so we should be seeing it when it airs or on Freeze Frame.
The canopy was designed for a 220mph crash so a little 130 mph barrel roll was nothing for it. |
Re: Callan "Miss Longlite" Barrel Rolls in KW
Talked to John Cosker and said that the damage was minimal and it will be running again soon.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Dean |

Re: Callan "Miss Longlite" Barrel Rolls in KW
I saw the boat run at key west and loto. The old boat went faster at loto and had a chance to win at key west before it came apart last year. Maybe the will get it dialed in better.

Yep, just wait til they get her dialed in better, it will be something to see, probobly the only thing to be seen will be the transom as everyone chases it! :evilb: Seriously, the boat doesn't have alot of test time, because it came out of the mold late in the spring of 05', and Callan had to rig it electrically and mechnically for both torques, and the turbines. Very complex electrical system design involved with supporting both powerplants. It will be very interesting next year when the C50 has so more test time under her belt. Happy Holidays, Dean |
