Re: Barge Hard Aground on Lake Michigan
Warm for the Big Pond is 70-75, thats about as good as it gets in the sourthern half of the lake. There are some warm H20 discharges, powerplants take in H20 and use it for cooling they clean it up and back into the lake it goes. I have seen some types in the high 80's around the discharges.

Re: Barge Hard Aground on Lake Michigan
Baron, it looked empty but it is hard to say, the barge creaks and groans when a wave hits it, little bubble come from the beach side as waves hit it and go under it bit is is sinking in the sand as it washes around it. On the very last pic, about midship look in the sky just above the barge, that is a crazy parachute wake boarder. He would rip out, about 20-25 mph then come in and get around 30+ feet of air. The thing would lift him up way into the air and then he would float down. He was very good, just trying to get started looked very hard. The water is around 50 right now, it was 70 most of the summer and with temps in the 90s that felt great. Sometimes in as little as 1/2 a day the water can go from 70 to 55 when an east wind pushes the surface water out. It can be hurt cold.
