HP,s loss bravo to #6 dry sumps

getting ready to rig 38 Powerplay with 800's-hull is twin-stepped-engines produce 774 pounds of torque in a 32 Active Thunder non-stepped hull-I am breaking Imco extremes every 10-15 hours

you should go with # 5's or #3's or #3a's at that power level a #6 is overkill and a lot more money

i would also check out Arneson's. i have a friend with a 42 fountain with 525's, got rid of bravo's went to 6's and due to the fact that you can raise your X more actually picked up speed...alot of speed

I'm also looking at Imco, Max Machine, Conrad, all are take-offs of Bravo drives and some of the others that were mentioned in this thread with more horsepower rating. Thanks for the input, but in my mind a #6 is good in durability and resale value.

License to Thrill: Who's got the Weissman drives? What do you think resale value would be vs. #6's?

I think the dry sump six uses less hp than a bravo, its the tranny and the weight. You can go with crash boxs and lose less HP. The weight is not that much more if you count the external steering on the bravo, and other drives.

You also get props that are alot better.
