That's how I made mine as well, a piece of angle iron, mud flaps from a truck supply place and a u-bolt that goes around the bottom of my receiver with 2 holes in the angle iron. All the weight sits on your receiver so the u-bolt basically just holds the angle iron from moving. Cost me about 40 or so dollars with the mud flaps being the most expensive part. Just cut them down to the size you need. Not the greatest picture but you can see them on the truck, I bought blue mud flaps to match my blue trailer and put some crome brackets on them so they wouldn't sail. They sit about 2 inches from the ground and have no problem covering up those 40" tires.... |

These have adjustable arms to raise or lower the height of the flaps. 240 bucks.
