Re: ready for a cat..... CANT GET INSURANCE
Do a search on these guys. There were cease and desist orders. I got a great quote last year. They were very quick and receptive. I then asked if they were licensed to insure in California and they clammed up. BE VERY CAREFUL!!

Re: ready for a cat..... CANT GET INSURANCE
Gordo,
Thank you for your contributions to the Auxiliary and commitment to safe boating. ChiTown, What we are supposed to do is reduce the number of incidents which require insurance settlements. While, I am not familiar with the insurance business I am familiar with risk modeling. With risk exposure factored by speed and frequency at speed we have to mitigate with experience and training. If we as a performance boating group demonstrate our united commitment to safe and responsible boating with a reduction of claims the numbers will reduce the cost of proper insurance. The terminal performance objective is not 10% off your premium, but to equip boat operators with the knowledge, skill’s, and abilities to operate safely ultimately saving lives, property, and our boating life. Tres’s course should and may receive a higher discount factor than 10% because at 10% it is par with the NASBLA courses and its value to operators is far above what the other courses offer. Again, I am not discounting the value other boating safety courses but highlighting the extra benefit received by the targeted teaching Tres offers. |
Re: ready for a cat..... CANT GET INSURANCE
RE: IWSF I know insurance agents that got huge fines for writing something that seemed to be some type of policy.i have a friend that was a New Jersey agent for them who had his office door broken down by the FBI,his computer seized, his insurance licensed revoked, and fined $5,000 by the state insurance commission.I was just approached by them again to be an agent for them and was told that my commision payments could be 30%.I know I'm old,but I'm not senile yet. I hope that nobody is "insured" by them, and if you are I would suggest that you keep your paperwork from them in a safe place like in your bathroom in the roller that holds really important paper.
