looking to build a factory 450hp 454,anyone have any parts?need spec's for cam etc. help? :cool:

serial numbers OF347100 thur OF347277 sorry only made two years 1995 and 1996 did'nt make very many.

It is most likely a hydraulic roller cam.The specs are probably close to an HP 500

that would be great! I know these engines where part of the hi-performance series.They also where painted that hi-performance blue.

hp 450 specs------Gen V block

8.8 Comp ratio
cam= hyd roller .576/.598 lift, 284/292 duration
timing=18*base/38* total
wot range 4800-5200rpms
Dart single plane intake
holley 800cfm carb-- jetting pri/port-81, pri/starb-75, sec/port-89, sec/ starb-93, 6.5 front PV, no PV in rear.

This is all according to what is listed in my merc manual. Its pretty much an hp500 with a 454 block.

I had a pair. Add worked Merlin heads, 741 cam and dry exhaust and look out. Good runner.
