Re: 30' Corsa

My nephew had a 30" about 10 ytears ago with merc trips O/B's, he bought it from So. FL, shipped it to NY and then he sold it a year or two later to a guy back in Lauderdale who had it completely redone, painted it purple with green flames. I saw it a few years back on a trailer at a storage yeard I think in Pompano, I don't think it had any power on it at the time. Also saw it on Boattrader years back, looked like it needed to be redone again! It was a great boat!

My same nephew ran an O/B Pantara after that for a couple of years, don't know where that ended up?

Angel,
What are you doing? You will probably have to change your screen name! :D
Merry Christmas to you and Gloria and the kids.

Re: 30' Corsa

Hey Georges,
Yes I know ...but I couldn't pass up this boat. It met all my requirements.
Including a good size cabin for Glory...she was diagnosed with MS late last year and one of the things that she should stay away from is direct sunlight/heat for long periods of time. So we will do more of our boating late afternoon and when we do go out during the day.. I will hopefully have a/c in it by then. Do you still have your boat?
Well say hi to Bev from me and Gloria.

P.S. If you know of anyone looking for a decent and inexpensive starter boat, I'm selling my 24' Monza. I have it listed on Ebay.

Andrew Corn told me of that race. Corsa made some great all around boats. really good in a sloppy side sea.

No at first we ran a 30 Corsa hull that came from an outfit called Eagle marine they were subcontractors and built for a couple builders in those days. I lost the bottom in the Magnum Marine Bahamas 100 (they stacked roven with no shear mat) anyway the "Baccarat" was available stripped, we rerigged it from the damaged boat finished testing 1:30 AM the Morning of the Barcardi.. Cool days that set me on the Path of doing my own glasswork (coming in with wet feet will do that)

gomango 12-28-2012 08:09 PM

I found a 30 with an Armstrong motor mount on it. Is it worth fixing?
