Jeff told me today he is going very conservative this time. He has the boat ordered w/ trip 4.3 MPI's w/ bravo 3 drives for great planing and gas conservation. W/ the light lay up he should
peg about 35mph top end w/ a light load! :p :evilb: HeHe

Do those dark color interiors get hot in the sun? Do you have to keep a towel over them?

salesmanship 12-15-2005 03:18 PM

Re: Inside Nortech

Only the charcoal gets warm but you're not sitting on it. The silver and yellow are the colors you come in contact with and they're fine.

bobonthis 12-15-2005 03:21 PM

Re: Inside Nortech

Ok, thanks. Just don't sit back right away :D I was just asking because I see a lot of boat going to darker colors these days in there interiors and when I tried that with mine, I went to a dark red I burnt the crap out of myself everytime I touched it and said I would never do that again. I was just wondering if it was a different material you were using that made it stay cool.

salesmanship 12-15-2005 03:52 PM

Re: Inside Nortech

Seems like the carbon fiber metallics reflect more. They only get warm even here in FL. Once you sit on them it's ok.

That was also with 6 blade Herings, Stelling boxes. no generator, no fridge, oh ya, and no paint, that adds weight ya know :drink:
and you think that boat Terry posted was yours  1 grand was all it took to take your spot. :D Terry will probably deny it, see you at the show.

Thanks for all the input guys!!!

Now where is BART's 50' Vee?

I caught a glimpse of it the day it was leaving to go to Fla.

I would have taken pics, but there was an interior feature that didn't look right.... :D

I wish I got pics of the rest of it though... :(

Re: Inside Nortech

Terry, on my boat, you know the one that Wrinkleface gave you a deposit on :evilb: ..with the new bolsters is it possible to have them back to back, loose the cup holders in the middle, grab handles on the side.
Also since I switched to 4.3's can I have 4 motors instead of 3 and change to pulse drives  :D

Jazz! A Nor-Tech 1st, have them hook those 4.3's to some jet drives for shallow water operation and safe swimming at the back of the boat. Maybe, U could get some 10 blade Hering impellers! :drink: Wrink

Nice production at the plant. No wonder Nor-Tech showed up in Key West with 35 poker run boats.

I like the updated bolsters in the 43 and the dash is cool too. It seems to give a little more room in the cockpit. The 43 has the biggest built in cooler I have ever seen and stocked inside a cabin.
