That may be a true tail with the XR Sportmasters. My Gladiator had those drives turning in and it threw a tail up to 65-70mph. As we went faster is would start to disappear. It threw the tail all of the time under 70mph regarldess of where the drives were trimmed. It was great because when the boat was coming at you, all you could see was white water. (picture 3) :D

Re: Check the Tail
Every new staggered (bravo) 42 Fountain that I have seen lately throws a rooster tail no matter where the drives are. It seems that they are trying to slip a bigger prop in order to make the boat faster. I have seen improvements by going with spacers and smaller props getting the slip around 10%. Seen gains of 6 mph above factory delivered boats. 4 boats total.
Anyone else? |

Re: Check the Tail
OK, I'm awake now..................
Funny Brandon. The boat always throws a tail. Huge until about 70 with the drives only SLIGHTLY trimmed. So, no U Joint problems and no "Shows" :) P.S. Steve was driving the boat Sunday, so what do expect from someone who just learned? |

Still baby**** compared to a #6 or arneson :( :D . When you gonna order the poker run boat and get out of the family truckster? :drink: :drink: |
Re: Check the Tail
